My book (click on image below for link) was released by Edinburgh University Press in September of 2010.  It is also distributed in the U.S. through Oxford University Press; unfortunately, the old promo code that formerly worked with Columbia University Press no longer seems to be! I have also completed work on an edited volume with Dr. Erik S. Ohlander of Indiana-Purdue University, Fort Wayne, entitled Sufism and Society: Arrangements of the Mystical in the Muslim World, 1200-1800 (click on image below).

Translation Project: Katip Celebi's Cihan-numa



I have recently completed work on translating a section of the 17th-century geographical work of Katip Celebi from Ottoman Turkish into English in conjunction with a team of scholars in both the U.S. and Turkey. My article on Katip Celebi's discussion of the regions of the Far East for his Muslim audience will be published shortly in the Journal of Ottoman Studies.
